3.OPPOSING TEAM You are to provide the opposing team for the Crowns. Most schools use a Faculty-Coaches team or alumni. Provide your local newspaper with a “story” about the team that plays the Crowns. If possible have them pose for a picture with the local paper. Also, try to have a preliminary game between school teams around 7 p.m. This also aids promotion 4.TICKET SALES This is most important: arrange to have two ROLL tickets for the night of the game. Two rolls, different colors, 1 for adults and the other for students and children. Have silver change and tickets at the gymnasium early: 6 p.m. for an 8 p.m. ball game. 5.ADVANCE TICKET SALES Not a necessity, but a good promotion helps to insure a crowd. Have tickets made at school shops or a commercial printer. Print each on a different color stock. The Harlem Crowns manager will be at the ticket office during half-time to help coordinate ticket sales. Have starting numbers on ticket rolls, this also insures quick and prompt accuracy.
